We look at happiness
like a far-away dream,
wading through the darkness,
the hollow shells of our lives,
held somehow at the seam.
One day I’ll be happy,
One day I’ll be whole,
One day I’ll hold the world
in my hands and the sun
will rise and fall for me.
Ages go by and still no
light, elusive as it ever was
But, what do I see
as I walk along that
same dark path…
I’ve left behind me
the light I search for…
